April 30, 2025 (MLN): The Organic Meat Company Limited (PSX: TOMCL) reported a 34.65% YoY increase in its profit for the nine months ended March 31, 2025, with after-tax profits reaching Rs459.76 million [EPS: Rs2.58] compared to Rs341.45m [EPS: Rs1.91] in the same period last year (SPLY).
Net sales surged by 32.05% YoY to Rs11.32 billion, up from Rs8.58bn in SPLY, driven by higher sales volume.
The cost of sales increased by 31.85% YoY to Rs10.21bn, leading to a slight decline of 1.53% in gross profit, which stood at Rs1.12bn.
Administrative expenses rose by 105.48% YoY to Rs218.31m, while selling expenses decreased by 37.56% YoY to Rs267.93m.
The allowance for doubtful debts saw a significant increase of 643.08% YoY to Rs79.98m.
Operating profit declined slightly by 6.38% YoY to Rs548.99m, while finance costs dropped by 24.00% YoY to Rs133.69m.
A major boost came from other income, which surged to Rs169.76m compared to Rs12.52m in SPLY.
Profit before taxation and levy increased by 38.31% YoY to Rs585.06m, while the levy expense stood at Rs137.64m, marking a 68.74% YoY increase.
Taxation for the period was recorded at Rs12.33m.
