Summit Bank embraces new identity as Bank Makramah Limited

November 13, 2023 (MLN): The management of Summit Bank Limited (PSX: SMBL) has officially announced to the local bourse today that the bank's name has been changed to "Bank Makramah Limited" (abbreviated as "BML"), effective from November 7, 2023.
This notice is in continuation of the announcement made on July 17, 2023, where the Board of Directors (BoD) of SMBL decided to change the bank's name.
Moreover, a certificate of incorporation on change of name has been issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) subsequent to the grant of no objection by the Finance Division (Internal Finance Wing), the government of Pakistan.
Summit Bank Limited was incorporated in Pakistan as public company limited by shares on December 09, 2005 under the repealed Companies Ordinance, 1984.
