SHC suspends SECP order declaring SEPL as public sector company

February 27, 2025 (MLN): Security Papers Limited (PSX: SEPL) on Thursday disclosed that the Sindh High Court (SHC) has suspended the operation of the SECP’s Appellate Bench order that classified SPL as a Public Sector Company.

The appeal was filed against the SECP’s ruling dated January 26, 2024, which was upheld by the Appellate Bench on February 7, 2025, based on the shareholding of certain entities.

Following preliminary arguments on February 26, 2025, the SHC ordered the suspension of the impugned order. The company has assured its stakeholders of further updates as the legal proceedings progress.
