SBP reserves diminished by $124.8m in a week

August 24, 2023 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) diminished by $124.8 million or 1.55% WoW to $7.93 billion during the week ended on August 18, 2023, according to the data released by the central bank on Thursday.

The decline was due to debt repayments.

Similarly, the country's total reserves diminished by $130.6m or 0.98% WoW to $13.25bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks fell by $5.8m or 0.11% WoW to $5.32bn.
