SBP raises Rs366.8bn through T-bills auction

February 23, 2022 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) conducted an auction on Wednesday in which it sold Market Treasury Bills (MTBs) worth Rs366.8 billion, against its target of Rs800bn while it received bids worth Rs732bn.

The cut-off yields for 3, 6, and 12 months saw an increase of 19, 23, and 12 basis points to stand at 10.49%, 10.89%, and 11%, respectively.

The total amount raised for 3 months T-bills was Rs255.23bn, Rs77.81bn for 6-months, and Rs33.75bn for 12 months MTBs.

In addition, the SBP picked up Rs334.41bn from the competitive auction and Rs32.39bn from non-competitive bids, making the total amount accepted Rs366.8bn.
