SBP announces banking timings for Ramadan

March 11, 2024 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday announced the office and banking timings during the holy month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak.
According to a circular issued in this regard, SBP will observe office hours from 9:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday, with a prayer/lunch break from 2:00pm to 2:30pm.
On Friday, Bank will observe timings from 8:30am to 1:00pm without break.
This will also be followed by all commercial banks, development finance institutions (DFIs) and microfinance banks (MFBs).
Banks/MFBs are further advised to observe the following minimum business (banking) hours for public dealing: Monday to Thursday from 09:00am to 02:00pm without any break whereas on Friday, the business (banking) hours will be from 08:30am to 01:00 pm. without any break.
After the month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, the above timings will automatically be reverted to pre-Ramadan timings, the notice added.
