SBCA restores provisional NOC for Bahria Town Karachi Project

October 23, 2024 (MLN): The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has restored the Provisional No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the sale and advertisement of Bahria Town Karachi's massive 16,896-acre development in Deh Bolari, Deh Langheji, Deh Konkar, Deh Kharkharo, and Deh Kathore, District Malir, Karachi, according to the letter issued by SBCA on Tuesday. 

This restoration, issued in continuation of the previous NOC dated September 19, 2022, has been made with the approval of the SBCA's Director General, following legal counsel from SBCA's Legal Section.

The project has been given the green light based on a layout plan approved by the Malir Development Authority (MDA) on June 13, 2022.

However, the NOC remains contingent on several critical conditions. One of the primary conditions is the settlement of Rs1.44 billion in balance scrutiny fees, payable in two equal instalments.

Bahria Town Karachi must also submit a valid developer license within one month.

Additionally, the SBCA has made it clear that in the event of any litigation or disputes regarding the land ownership or status, the NOC will be deemed withdrawn or cancelled.

Furthermore, the developer is required to obtain a completion certificate in compliance with the Karachi Building & Town Planning Regulations of 2002 (as amended).
