Sazgar reports 174% surge in four-wheel vehicle sales for Sep

October 10, 2024 (MLN): Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (PSX: SAZEW) witnessed a substantial rise of 173.84% in the sale of four-wheel off-road and passenger vehicles in September 2024, with 827 units sold compared to the topline of 302 vehicles in the same month last year, company’s filing on PSX revealed today.

Concerning production, the company made 892 units of cars in September, compared to 306 units produced during September 2023, reflecting a massive increase of 191.5%.

The monthly metrics comparison indicates a 13.22% decrease in sales compared to 953 units sold in August 2024.

Similarly, production also dropped by 5.21% in September 2024 as in the previous month SAZEW was able to manufacture 941 units.

In addition to the four-wheelers, the company sold 2,168 auto rickshaws, 111.31% YoY higher than the topline of 1026 units recorded in the same period last year.

The production of the three-wheelers clocked in at 2,105 units, up by 79.15% YoY against the 1175 units produced in September 2023.

Comparison on a monthly basis shows that the sale of three-wheelers increased by 31.95%, while production was recorded at 4.05% higher.
