Rate of inflation for essential items falls: Planning Minister

April 10, 2020: Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has said the rate of inflation for essential products has fallen to less than half in the last three months.
In a tweet on Friday, he said the inflation continues to fall. He said Special Price Index (SPI) was above twenty percent in mid-January. He said the SPI is down to 8.2 percent this week.
