Public holidays in Islamabad on July 31, August 01 for foreign delegations

July 29, 2023 (MLN): The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) on Friday announced two local holidays from July 31, to August 01, 2023, in the federal capital on account of the foreign delegation visit.

The Chinese Vice Premier is anticipated to visit to celebrate the ten-year mark of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), diplomatic sources told Mettis Link News.

Chief Commissioner ICT made the announcement through an official notice.

"A foreign delegation is going to visit Islamabad from July 30 to August 01, 2023," the notice reads.

It further states that the decision of holidays aims to ensure that the visit is conducted in a befitting manner and foolproof security is provided throughout the duration of the delegation's stay.

However, the identity of the foreign delegation's visit has not been officially disclosed by officials from the Joint Secretary (ICT).
