Public holiday announced on November 09 on account of Iqbal Day

November 03, 2023 (MLN): The caretaker government has announced a public holiday on Thursday, November 09, 2023, on the occasion of ‘Iqbal Day’, the latest notice issued by the Cabinet Division showed.

The holiday will be observed throughout the country.

November 09 is observed as Iqbal Day to honor the birthday of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the national philosopher, poet, and politician of Pakistan.

Allama Iqbal was born on November 09, 1877, and he played an instrumental role in inspiring millions of Muslims across the subcontinent to seek an independent homeland.
