PSX warns of legal action against unauthorized use of logo, branding

September 06, 2024 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (PSX) has issued a stern notice to the public, highlighting the illegal and unauthorized use of its logo and other proprietary materials.

"This notice serves to inform the general public that the unauthorised use of the PSX logo, along with other proprietary material, constitutes a legal violation and is strictly forbidden," the notice reads.

This prohibition encompasses but is not limited to, the use of PSX’s intellectual property on stationery, business cards, social media platforms, or any other medium in any capacity, or the act of impersonating a PSX employee or executive.

"PSX exclusively owns the rights to its name, logo, social media profiles and other related intellectual properties and reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings against any person be it an individual or a corporate entity, for the unauthorised use of these intellectual rights and assets, with all associates costs and consequences falling entirely upon the infringing party," it added.

It is thus imperative to understand that any infringement will be met with zero tolerance and stern legal measures will be enforced against violators.

Individuals and entities that engage with, subscribe to, or seek advice from any parties not officially authorised by PSX are advised to exercise their due diligence.

PSX disclaims any responsibility for any losses or damages incurred as a result of engaging with unauthorised representations of its intellectual property, including but not limited to interactions with unsanctioned social media pages, posts, web groups, or WhatsApp groups.
