May 24, 2023 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index closed Wednesday's trading session at 41,117.32 showing an increase of 18.02 points.

The index traded in a range of 277.83 points showing an intraday high of 41,342.23 and a low of 41,064.4.

The total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 40.319 million shares.

Of the companies in KSE100 43 closed up, 47 closed down, 5 were unchanged while 5 remained untraded.

KSE100 index was supported by Textile Composite with 26.99, Food & Personal Care Products with 23.61, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 22.65, Commercial Banks with 13.03 and Chemical with 8.62 points.

Companies adding points to the index were POL with 21.1, NML with 12.77, NESTLE with 12.71, HBL with 11.3 and FCEPL with 10.22 points.

KSE100 Index was let down by Technology & Communication with 20.78, Fertilizer with 15.99, Power Generation & Distribution with 13.61, Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. with 13.22 and Oil & Gas Marketing Companies with 10.88 points.

Companies dragging the index lower were DAWH with 14.16, SYS with 12.53, PSO with 11.9, HUBC with 11.18 and HMB with 8.46 points.

In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 27,485.22 with a net gain of 121.93 points.

The total market volume was 105.573 million shares with traded value being recorded at 2.58 billion.

There was 58,750 trades reported in 309 companies with 135 closing up, 149 closing down and 25 remaining unchanged.
