February 17, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 111,743.53, showing a decrease of 341.76 points or 0.30%.

The index traded in a range of 1,011.14 points showing an intraday high of 112,524.80 (+439.51) and a low of 111,513.66 (-571.63) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 295.85 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 34 closed up, 62 closed down, while 4 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were TRG (-7.63%), ABL (-6.99%), SEARL (-6.02%), SAZEW (-4.71%), and PGLC (-3.23%).

On the other hand, top gainers were BOP (+9.64%), POML (+5.55%), FATIMA (+4.69%), SRVI (+3.62%), and BNWM (+2.81%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were MARI (-76.51pts), PPL (-63.44pts), TRG (-59.24pts), SEARL (-50.89pts), and OGDC (-50.76pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were LUCK (+108.39pts), BAHL (+55.90pts), BOP (+48.07pts), UBL (+45.37pts), and FATIMA (+38.40pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-233.63pts), Technology & Communication (-110.56pts), Pharmaceuticals (-59.41pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-56.91pts), and Automobile Assembler (-52.27pts).

While the index was supported by Cement (+102.73pts), Commercial Banks (+82.00pts), Fertilizer (+56.95pts), Leather & Tanneries (+33.64pts), and Power Generation & Distribution (+9.88pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 69,267.28 with a net loss of 321.40 points or 0.46%.

Total market volume was 511.19 million shares compared to 457.05m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs19.64 billion showing a decrease of Rs3.58bn.

There were 234,209 trades reported in 434 companies with 130 closing up, 234 closing down, and 70 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 33,299 points or 42.45% during the fiscal year, whereas it has decreased 3,383 points or 2.94% so far this calendar year.
