The index traded in a range of 423.93 points or 1.39 percent of previous close, touching an intraday high of 30,898.30 (+333.80) and a low of 30,474.37 (-90.13) points. Total volume decreased to 138 million shares from 172 million of the previous session. 334 scrips were traded out of which 224 closed up, 94 closed down while 16 were unchanged. Market Cap. increased by Rs.43.54 Billion.
