Profit rates on National Saving Schemes raised by upto 60 bps

March 3, 2021 (MLN): The rates on National Saving Schemes (NSS) have been raised by up to 60 basis points, with effect from March 3, 2021.
The rate of profit has been increased by 27 bps to 9.51% on defense certificates, and by 60 bps to 8.40% on special savings account.
However, the rate on behbood, pension and shuda has been kept unchanged at 11.28%.
Likewise, the rate on regular income certificates and savings account remains static at 9% and 5.5%, respectively.
