Govt cuts petrol price by Rs0.12, diesel by Rs0.66 for August 1–3

August 01, 2026 (MLN): The government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs0.12 per litre, bringing it down to Rs336.03, while High Speed Diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs0.66 per litre to Rs392.38, effective August 1 to 3, 2026.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the revised ex-depot prices have been notified by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), based on the pricing mechanism issued by the federal government.

Under the prevailing mechanism, OGRA computes and notifies petroleum prices on a daily basis.
