Power companies propose increase of 70 paisa per unit: NEPRA

The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA), which is responsible for the procurement of electric power on the behalf of power distribution companies (DISCOS), has proposed an increase of Rs. 0.7023 per kWh over the reference fuel charges for the month of June 2018.

Reference fuel charges stand at Rs. 4.9927 per kWh.

National Electric Power and Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), which is the authority on this matter, will decide the case in a public hearing that has been scheduled for July 24, 2018 (Tuesday) in this regard at the NEPRA Tower, at 11 am.
