PMRS to set up new jaggery plant

July 30, 2024 (MLN): The board of directors of The Premier Sugar Mills (PSX: PMRS) has accorded approval for setting up a new Jaggery plant within the Mills premises at Mardan.

PMRS shared the development in its notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.

The new Jaggery plant will have crushing capacity of 750 tons per day and Jaggery production of 90 tons per day in addition to existing sugar plant.

"This new plant will add value to the efficiency of the existing sales and profitability of the company," reads the notice.
