PMEX index closes at 3,343 points

On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,343.

The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.080 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,329.

Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.000 billion followed by currencies through COTS (PKR 1.045 billion), WTI crude oil (PKR 462.246 million), DJ (PKR 433.748 million), silver (PKR 382.242 million), NSDQ100 (PKR 303.390 million), platinum (PKR 269.093 million), SP500 (PKR 79.718 million), natural gas (PKR 51.036 million), Brent crude oil (PKR 30.477 million) and copper (PKR 21.551 million). In agricultural commodities, 5 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 2.374 million were traded.
