PMEX index closes at 3,182 points

Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited's commodity index on Monday closed at 3,182 points; with traded value of metals, Energy and COTS/FX recorded at Rs 7.031 billion.

The number of lots traded was 11,807, said PMEX release on Tuesday. (The data is compiled and release after 24 hours).

Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to Rs 1.593 billion, followed by gold Rs 1.263 billion, currencies through COTS Rs 1.259 billion, DJ Rs 1.167 billion, SP500 Rs 543.762 million, NSDQ100 Rs 531.431 million, copper Rs 333.437 million, silver Rs 213.072 million, platinum Rs 61.059 million, natural gas Rs 39.031 million and Brent crude oil Rs 24.713 million.

In agricultural commodities, 13 lots of cotton amounting to Rs 5.478 million were traded.
