PMEX Commodity Index closes at 3,550 points on Thursday

On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,550. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.778 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,546.

Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.851 billion, followed by WTI crude oil (PKR 2.011 billion), currencies through COTS (PKR 1.235 billion), platinum (PKR 1.166 billion), NSDQ100 (PKR 609.739 million), silver (PKR 441.939 million), DJ (PKR 167.829 million), copper (PKR 148.619 million), natural gas (PKR 80.862 million), SP500 (PKR 49.426 million) and Brent crude oil (PKR 14.330 million). In agriculture, one lot of cotton amounting to PKR 0.564 million was traded.
