PM Shahid Khaqqan Abbasi issues directives to release 100 billion to reduce circular debt

Prime Minister has today issued directives to release Rs. 100 billion to reduce circular debt choking the energy operations across the country. Furthermore, the amount to reduce circular debt would be released In May, 2018.
During the current fiscal year government has already released Rs. 73 billion under circular debt.
Finance ministry is asked to release funds once summary from ministry of energy is approved and it arrives.
