PKR depreciates by 1.4 rupees against USD

June 11, 2019 (MLN): Pakistani rupee (PKR) depreciated by 1.4 rupees against US Dollar (USD) at today's interbank session as the currency closed the day's trade at PKR 151.47 per USD, against previous session's closing of PKR 150.1 per USD.

The Rupee endured a volatile trading session, with the value of the currency trading in a range of 1.50 Rupee per USD showing an intraday high bid of 151.75 and an intraday Low offer of 150.75

Meanwhile, the currency lost 2.1 rupees against Pound Sterling as the day's closing quote stood at PKR 192.58 per GBP, while the previous session closed at PKR 190.53 per GBP.

Similarly, PKR's value weakened by 1.7 rupees against EUR which closed at PKR 171.38 at the interbank today.

Within the Open Market, PKR was traded at 151.50/153 per USD.

On another note, within the money market, the overnight repo rate towards close of the session was 12.30/12.50 percent, whereas the 1 week rate was 12.30/12.35 percent.
