Supreme Court of Pakistan has allowed Fauji Foods to resume production on Nurpur Milk brand after Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) cleared FFL Nurpur samples, according to the company release on Pakistan Stock Exchange.

Supreme Court of Pakistan has reversed its decision to ban production of Nurpur Milk, being produced under the flagship o Fauji Foods Limited. The Supreme Court decision came after the PCSIR cleared the samples sent by Fauji Foods Limited for testing.

The Supreme Court had declared Nurpur Milk along with three more brands – Day Fresh, Nurpur, and Day Fresh UHT – unsafe for consumption after tests revealed that cows used to collecting for these brands were injected with chemicals.

As per the preliminary report, it was stated that a total of 53 brands were tested for a quality check, out of which these four brands turned out to be below standard.
