July inflation rises to 4.1%

August 01, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan's inflation rose to 4.1% in July 2025, compared to 3.2% in the previous month and 11.1% in July  2024, the latest data issued by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) showed.

On a sequential basis, inflation increased by 0.2% compared to the previous month's increase of 2.1%.

Accordingly, the average yearly inflation for 1MFY26 is 4.07% compared to 11.09% in the same period last year. 

Urban CPI inflation increased to 4.4% on year-on-year basis in July 2025 as compared to 3% of the previous month and 13.2% in July 2024.

On a MoM basis, it increased by 3.4% in July 2025 as compared to 0.1% in the previous month and an increase of 2.0% in July 2024.

Rural CPI inflation, on the other hand, increased by 3.5% YoY in July 2025, as compared to an increase of 3.6% in the previous month and 8.1% in July 2024.

MoM, it increased by 2.2% in July 2025 as compared to an increase of 0.5% in the previous month and an increase of 2.2% in July 2024.

SPI inflation decreased to 0.9% YoY in July 2025, compared to 1.9% a month earlier and an increase of 15.7% in July 2024. On MoM basis, it increased to 3.1% in July 2025 as compared to no change in a month earlier and an increase of 2.0% in July 2024.

WPI inflation decreased by 0.5% YoY in July 2025, compared to a 0.6% increase the previous month and a 10.4% in July 2024.

On a MoM basis, it increased to 1.2% in July 2025 as compared to 0.6% in the previous month and an increase of 2.3% in July 2024.
