Pakola denies media reports of hazardous bacteria in drinking water

July 29, 2024 (MLN): In response to media reports alleging the presence of hazardous bacteria in Pakola Pure Drinking Water, Pakola has officially refuted these claims, stating that they are completely unfounded.

"We assure our customers of the highest quality and safety of our products," the brand stated in its latest social media post.

To further affirm consumers, Pakola said that Pure Drinking Water, produced by Mehran Bottlers Pvt. Ltd., adheres to strict quality controls and meets international safety standards.

The company further shared its quarterly report for April-June 2024, which highlights that, according to the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR), its product is safe and of high quality, classified under BWP-22:

  • Location: Karachi
  • Date of Sampling: 25-04-2024
  • Expiration Date: 22-08-2025
  • Bottling Facility: Fresh & Bakers, Main Mosmiyat Road Near Dow Ojha Campus, Karachi
  • Manufacturer: Mehran Bottlers Pvt. Ltd., Head Office C5/A, Site Karachi

Moreover, Mehran Bottlers Pvt. Ltd. holds several certifications verifying our dedication to quality:

  • ISO 9001:2015 (Certificate No: 735 1509P)
  • ISO 45001:2018 (Certificate No:175 ISO45P)
  • ISO 14001:2015 (Certificate No:189 IS014P)
  • FSSC 22000 (Certificate No: PK004174 -1)

"These certifications, issued by Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS, UK Branch, confirm compliance with the highest international standards," it added.

Going ahead, Pakola has pledged to take legal action against individuals or entities spreading false information, as such actions harm its brand and valued customers who trust its products for safety and quality.

"Pakola Pure Drinking Water remains committed to providing safe, clean, and refreshing water to our customers," the notice concludes.
