Pakistan’s KSE – 100 Index loses 337 points

The KSE 100 index market turned bearish during the day after markets opened to news regarding putting Pakistan’s name in the sanctions list in the Pakistan. News surfaced that the US is considering to put Pakistan’s name for Terrorist Watch List through Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Volume leaders during the day include UNITY, FFL, KEL, WTL and ANL composing more than 25% of the total volumes. Top stock tocks that contributed to the negativity during the day include LUCK -39pts, DGKC -28pts, SEARL -22pts, SNGP -20pts and PSO -19pts.

Sector-wise all share index turnover was led by Technology & Communication (27.383 million), Chemical (22.340 million), and Food & Personal Care (20.370 million) with Engineering (10 million) and Cable & Electrical Goods (7.065 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.

KSE - 100 Index at the day end moved a total of -337.32 points up down 0.77%, closing in at 43353.04 points with index high-low range of 43781.77 – 43215.72.

KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 206.891 million shares, value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 7.773 billion.

The index moved in the range of 566.05 points.
