Pakistan’s FY18 Trade deficit increases to $37.670 Billion

According to data published by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, Pakistan’s FY18 trade deficit increased by 15.95% to $37.670 Billion compared to $32.488 Billion in FY17.
Exports for the year were $23.228 billion, an increase of 13.74% compared to $20.422 Billion in FY17.
Imports increased by 15.10% to $60.898 Billion compared to $52.910 Billion in FY17.

Exports in June 2018 decreased by 11.99% to $1.887 Billion compared to $2.144 Billion in May 2018 and were down 1% compared to $1.906 Billion from June 2017.
Imports in June 2018 decreased by -2.06% to $5.694 Billion compared to $5.814 Billion in May 2018, however imports were up 26.20% compared to $4.512 Billion from June 2017.
