Pakistan’s economy witnesses upturn after 2 years of struggle: PM

August 14, 2020 (MLN): In a series of tweets, Prime Minister Imran Khan has congratulated the nation at the upturn in Pakistan’s economy after 2 years of struggle.

He mentioned that the construction industry has played a significant role in job creation due to special incentives provided by the Federal government.

Despite challenges at the macro front, Pakistan’s economy has witnessed significant improvement in twin deficit along with improvement in business confidence which reflects in the stock market.

PM said, ‘Current Account & Fiscal deficits are down; construction industry & through it job creation taking off because of our special incentives; stock market up; exports & revenues up & cement & car sales up.’
