Pakistan to strengthen investment climate in collaboration with MIGA

February 21, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan is committed to fostering a conducive investment climate and continuing its collaboration with the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) to advance the country's economic and financial sector development, as Pakistan is MIGA’s first destination in Asia.

This was stated by the Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb while chairing a meeting with a delegation from MIGA at the Finance Division today.

The delegation highlighted MIGA’s role in offering short-term credit guarantees, which complement the efforts of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in promoting private sector development, according to the press release issued.

They underscored their organization’s commitment to supporting financial institutions and capital markets in Pakistan and expressed confidence in the country’s economic potential.

The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to maintain close coordination.
