According to sources, Pakistan will soon start talks with the IMF to seek a fresh bailout.

Pakistan is likely to ask for loans between six to seven billion dollars.

In return the IMF will require Pakistan to reduce circular debt, broaden tax net and reduce losses of state run companies. In addition the IMF will ask Pakistan to cut non development expenditure to trim fiscal deficit, broaden manufacturing base to increase exports and to curtail imports to reduce current account deficit.
