Pakistan seeks stronger cooperation with US: Mohsin Naqvi

January 23, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan places special importance on bilateral relations with the United States, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized during his meeting with US Congressmen in Washington.

The minister held meetings with US Congressmen Thomas Richard Suozzi, a Democrat, and Jack Bergman, a Republican, reflecting engagement across party lines.

During the meeting, Naqvi and the US Congressmen discussed key issues of mutual interest, including Pakistan-US relations and the evolving situation in Afghanistan, according to the press release.

Both sides expressed a commitment to strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.

Mohsin Naqvi extended an invitation to the US Congressmen to visit Pakistan, emphasizing the country's strong commitment to its bilateral relationship with the United States.

He highlighted Pakistan's desire to enhance collaboration with the US across all sectors.

Naqvi noted that a visit by US Congressmen to Pakistan would further strengthen bilateral relations.

Congressman Suozzi expressed his commitment to deepening ties with Pakistan and shared his intention to visit the country soon

During the meeting, it was agreed to hold the Pakistan Caucus Conference in Washington, D.C., on April 30.

Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, also attended the discussion.
