May 29, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its partnership with the World Bank in pursuit of a resilient, inclusive, and future-ready development agenda, said Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal.

The statement came during a meeting with the newly appointed Country Director of the World Bank, Bolorma Amgaabazar, who called on the Minister in Islamabad, as per the press release issued.

Highlighting ongoing reform initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal described the government's flagship initiative URAAN Pakistan as a vision focused on fostering hope, leveraging innovation, and ensuring long-term stability through strategic planning and institutional reform.

He noted that the Planning Ministry is spearheading a wide-ranging consultative process aimed at civil service modernization and enhancing public sector performance, in line with URAAN Pakistan’s core objective of institutional excellence.

The Minister also affirmed the government's plans to revive the Pakistan Development Forum later this year, aligning it with the broader framework of URAAN Pakistan.
