April 17, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan has reiterated its commitment to deepening bilateral relations with the United Kingdom across various domains, with a particular focus on trade, investment, education, and people-to-people connections.
This was stated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during a meeting with UK Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Faith, Communities and Resettlement, Lord Wajid Khan, who called on him in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged and appreciated the valuable contributions of the British Pakistani diaspora, describing them as a vital bridge between the two nations.
The Prime Minister also extended his best wishes to His Majesty King Charles III and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, as per the press release.
Shehbaz Sharif commended Lord Wajid Khan’s continued efforts in advancing Pakistan-UK relations and his pursuit of new areas for bilateral cooperation.
Lord Khan, in turn, updated the Prime Minister on his recent engagements and initiatives aimed at enhancing ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
