CPI Preview: Inflation to fall to around 17% YoY in April

Pakistan, Iran eye $5bn trade target fueled by CPEC & BRI projects

March 18, 2024 (MLN): The annual trade volume between Pakistan and Iran trade can be increased up to $5 billion in the coming few years with the enhancement of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and BRI mega projects.

Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan, Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam made these remarks while addressing the business community in Islamabad on Sunday.

The envoy further said that there is a strong possibility of doubling the bilateral trade activities through air, rail and maritime integration.

The Iranian Ambassador said that to further improve transit trade between Pakistan and Iran, 12 border trade markets are being opened, out of which six markets have been completed.

The Iranian Ambassador said that currently, Pakistan has a lot of trade potential in Iran in agriculture and industry.
