Pakistan, France to introduce eco-friendly solutions for power sector growth

January 17, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and France have agreed to introduce sustainable and eco-friendly initiatives for strengthening Pakistan's power sector.

This understanding was reached at a meeting between Minister for Power Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari and French Ambassador Nicolas Galey in Islamabad, according to the press release issued.

During the meeting, Awais Leghari proposed utilizing France's Green Fund to support the transition of small vehicles to electric technology in Pakistan.

The Ambassador assured that France will consider providing every possible technical and financial assistance for Pakistan's Electric Vehicle (EV) initiatives and other energy reforms.
