Pakistan exports to USA rise 12.17% in Dec

January 17, 2025 (MLN): The U.S.A. remained the top export destination for Pakistan during December, with $504.5 million worth of shipments, up by 12.17% against the exports of $ 449.73m in same period last year.

According to the data released by the State Bank of Pakistan, this was followed by China, as Pakistan exported goods worth $233.28m to the country as compared to the exports of $258.06m recorded during the same month of the previous year, depicting a decline of 9.6%.

U. K. was the third on the list as Pakistan generated export revenue worth $165.41m from the country. This figure was up by 8.13% from the exports of $152.97m in the same period last year.

U.A.E. Dubai was the fourth in line as exports to the region during the aforementioned period were $156.44m, depicting an increase of 5.4% YoY.

Among other countries, Pakistan's exports to the Germany stood at $136.07m, marking a rise of 14.15% YoY, while exports to Netherlands (Holland) increased by 10.37% YoY to $121.56m.

Moreover, the export receipts received from Spain stood at $124.03m, up by 13.69% YoY.

While on a sequential basis, the total exports to U.S.A. increased by 6.08% MoM. While exports to China decreased by 2.68% MoM.

Moreover, receipts received from exports to U.K. depicted a decreased of 4.7% MoM.

Meanwhile, cumulatively, in 6MFY25, U. S. A. was the top source of export receipts, worth $3.02 billion as against the total exports worth $2.75bn in 6MFY24.

Whereas total exports to China in 6MFY25 stood at $1.29bn, registering a decline of -13.18%.

Cumulatively, U. K. ranked as the third-largest contributor to the country's export earnings, accounting for exports valued at $1.10bn in 6MFY25, compared to $1.02m in the same period last year
