Pakistan, EU sign agreement worth €13 mln for public financial management

February 28, 2020: Pakistan and European Union have signed an agreement worth thirteen million Euros, for public financial management.

Secretary Economic Affairs Division Syed Pervaiz Abbas and EU Ambassador to Pakistan Androulla Kaminara signed the agreement in Islamabad today.

Under the agreement, European Union will provide assistance to bring improvement in macro fiscal policies, process of budget preparation and forecasting.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar said the government is committed to ensure equal economic and social progress in the country.

He said the scope of public financial support will be broadened to Sindh, Balochistan and at federal level.
