January 02, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and the United States aim to strengthen bilateral relationships, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, and economic cooperation, by promoting investment opportunities in Pakistan.

The aforementioned discussion took place during a meeting between the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, and Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, the Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States of America, at the Finance Division today.

During the meeting, the importance of the Pakistan-US partnership was reiterated, and the US was acknowledged as Pakistan’s largest trading partner and export destination.

It was decided to further enhance economic diplomacy and explore new opportunities for joint business ventures and economic collaborations between the two countries.

Given the positive macroeconomic developments in Pakistan, including improvements in key economic indicators and enhanced macroeconomic stability, the Minister and the Ambassador acknowledged the progress.

They agreed to capitalize on these opportunities to foster further growth and collaboration.

They decided to actively promote investment opportunities in Pakistan, with a particular focus on engaging the Pakistani diaspora.

The meeting also decided to ensure regular updates on macroeconomic data with stakeholders and the diaspora in the US to encourage investment in Pakistan’s growing economy.
