Pak-Russia to boost parliamentary exchanges

December 12, 2018 (MLN): Pakistan and Russia agreed to strengthen their parliamentary exchanges, at a meeting held between the acting Chairman Senate, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Deputy Chairman of the Russia's Federation Council, Mr. Ilyas Umakhanon, Mr. Igor Morozov, Chair of the Pak-Rus Friendship Group and Mr Frantz Klintsevitch, Senator Federation Council.

According to an official press release, the acting Chairman Senate also invited Mr. Ilyas to visit Pakistan at his convenience.

The two parties officially met when the parliamentary delegation of Pakistan led by Senator Mandviwalla reached Moscow, Russia to participate in an International Conference, “The Role of Parliaments in Today’s World”.

On the sidelines of this conference, they met formally to discuss parliamentary exchanges between Pakistan and Russia.
