OGDCL reports one more zone in Lickhart Formation at Dhok Hussain Well # 01

According to an Oil & Gas Development Authority (OGDC) notice addressed to the exchange, the company informed the stakeholders that at the joint venture of Baratal Block with OGDC as 97.5% operator and KPK Oil & Gas Company Limited (KPOGCL) as 2.5% have discovered gas and condensate form Dhok Hussain Exploratory Well # 01 located in Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Dhok Hussain well was drilled and tested using OGDCL’s expertise, to the depth of 5014 meters. On 15^th of December, 2017 the well was tested 15.4 MMSCFD of gas and 360 BPD of condensate through 32/64’’ choke at well head with a reported flowing pressure of 2558 Psi.

The company informed that the discovery of new reserves would open new avenues and increase hydrocarbon reserves of Pakistan.
