Midday Report: KSE-100 gains 233 pts as political situation stabilizes

October 23, 2019: The KSE-100 index has gained 233 points in the intraday session, and is currently trading at 33,436-level.

The statement by JUI to hold a march instead of sit-in has stabilized the political situation in the country, and restored the confidence of local investors in the capital markets.

E&P Companies, Commercial Banks and Fertilizer Sector have emerged as the top performers, as they have collectively gained 186 points so far.

Company wise, the scrips of ENGRO, PPL, POL, MCB and UBL have captured the maximum gains as of now.
