Listed companies required to report gender pay gap data

April 08, 2025 (MLN): The listed companies are now mandated to report gender pay gap data in their annual reports and disseminate it on their websites, as per the notice issued by PSX.

This move is part of the Prime Minister's Women Empowerment Package (PM-WEP) 2024 and aligns with the SECP’s directive, aimed at promoting transparency and advancing gender equality and diversity in Pakistan’s corporate sector.

Failure to comply with this requirement, or submitting incomplete information, could lead to enforcement actions by the SECP.

This directive follows earlier notices from PSX, including PSX/N-1140 dated November 26, 2024, PSX/N-072 dated January 13, 2025, and PSX/N-174 dated February 11, 2025, regarding mandatory gender pay gap disclosure in compliance with SECP Circular No. 10 of 2024, issued on April 17, 2024.
