SECP reminds listed companies to mandatorily disclose gender pay gap data

February 12, 2025 (MLN): The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has issued a reminder to the board of directors of PSX-listed companies to mandatorily disclose gender pay gap data in their annual reports and on their official websites.

This directive is in continuation with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX)'s earlier notice, emphasizing that publishing a gender pay gap report is critical for fostering corporate transparency, diversity, and inclusion in Pakistan’s corporate sector.

In light of the Prime Minister’s Women Empowerment Package (PM-WEP) 2024, all listed companies are required to adhere to this regulation and report gender pay gap data using the SECP’s suggested template, according to a notice issued by PSX.

Non-compliance, including the failure to submit complete and accurate information in the annual report or on the company website, may result in regulatory enforcement actions by the SECP.
