November 23, 2020 (MLN): Bears wreaked havoc at the market on Monday as it continued to tread lower right from the opening bell. In less than 15 minutes, the KSE-100 was down to 39,499 - a loss of 658 points, still the intraday low.

While it has recovered from that, the index was still in the red by 625 points to stand at 39,561 as of 12:57PM. Talks of another countrywide lockdown from Prime Minister Imran Khan, who lashed out against the Opposition for spreading virus through their rallies, could have unnerved investors. Participants also await the State Bank Monetary Policy Statement later today even though status quo is expected to be maintained.
