KSE Closing Bell – Index Ends Week on Positive Note

KSE100 Index closed out the final session of the week with a 142.77 point gain to close at 32,707.91. The index remained positive throughout the session touching an intraday high of 32,771.86 (206.72) points. Total Volume was 129 million shares compared to 119 million from the previous session. Out of 345 traded scrips, 208 closed up, 117 closed down and 20 closed unchanegd while the market cap increased by Rs.21.70 Billion.

Top traded sector was Technology & Communication with 15.2m shares followed by Cement and Oil & Gas Marketing Cos with 12.56m and 11.26m shares.

According to figures released by NCCPL Foreign Investors were net sellers by USD 1.369 Million on Friday.

While KSE100 Index managed to recover most of the losses suffered during the week, it still closed 252.36 points down compared to previous weeks close of 32,960.27. During the week the index touched a high of 32,994.85 (34.48) points and a low of 31,665.50 (-1293.77) points. Average daily volume was 154.63 million shares compared to 143.28 million shares from last week. Market Cap decreased by Rs 69.09 Billion.

According to figures released by NCCPL Foreign Investors were net sellers by USD 16.95 during the week.
