KSE-100 soars 1,500+ points

February 25, 2025 (MLN): Amid optimism on the economic front and strong earnings reports, the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 1,502.69 points or 1.31% at 10:08 AM in Tuesday's trading session, currently trading at 115,832.79.

Yesterday, the Index concluded the trading session at 114,330.10.

Top gainers are TGL (+9.35%), KTML (+7.17%), BAHL (+5.47%), MUREB (+5.00%), and MEHT (+4.76%).

On the other hand, top losers are PAKT (-2.66%), PKGS (-2.64%), PGLC (-1.25%), NPL (-0.89%), and JVDC (-0.83%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were BAHL (+192.91pts), FFC (+109.44pts), OGDC (+107.06pts), PPL (+78.32pts), and MCB (+77.13pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were PAKT (-13.41pts), PKGS (-12.54pts), MEBL (-12.17pts), TRG (-5.95pts), and KOHC (-5.88pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Commercial Banks (+461.99pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+287.50pts), Fertilizer (+189.31pts), Cement (+139.25pts), and Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+82.47pts).

While the index was let down by Tobacco (-13.41pts), Paper, Board & Packaging (-12.54pts), Automobile Parts & Accessories (-1.32pts), Transport (-1.30pts), and Modarabas (+0.00pts).
