KSE – 100 index loses 57 points

The KSE – 100 Index today faltered as bears took down the index at close today. Index closed after losing 57 points; FERT +2.32 percent, FFBL +1.79 percent, and FFC +3.83 percent.

Further, ASTL - 0.23 percent closed flat after the announcement that the company with mutual agreement with a Chinese company, Qingdao, will not continue with the joint venture of electrical transmission business in Pakistan.

According to MG Link News, PSO has signed an agreement with Power China to setup a refinery in South and lay pipelines across the country.

Volume traded decreased by 26.24 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 100.525 million versus 16.29 million on Friday.

Commercial Banks, Oil & Gas Marketing Companies, and Chemical the session at the bottom today after collectively taking away more than 119 points.

Sector-wise all share index top ten sector turnover was led by Cement (34.457 million), Chemical (30.198 million), and Food & Personal Care Products (16.183 million) with Engineering (7.675 million) and Miscellaneous (7.313 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.

KSE - 100 Index at the day end moved a total of 57 points down 0.12 percent, closing in at 46580.62 points with index high – low range of 46828.2 – 46530.06.

KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 247.798 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 14.544 billion.
