KSE-100 index gains 114.81 points

September 30, 2022 (MLN): KSE-100 benchmark index gained 114.81 points (0.28%), to close at 41,128.67 points on Tuesday after oscillating between positive and negative zone.

Due to the rollover week the market was sluggish all day, and investors have kept their distance due to the political instability, economic instability and higher inflation rate recorded this week.

In terms of sectors, most of the positive contribution came from technology, oil & gas, fertilizer, investment banks and tobacco which cumulatively added 179.9 points to the index tally by the day end.

The index witnessed a volume of 128.62million, an increase of 42.50% from 73.95mn shares traded yesterday. Meanwhile, the volume leaders on the benchmark index were TRG (3.19mn), KEL (15.65mn), PIBTL (10.27mn), CYNERGY (7.72mn), and PAEL (5.83mn).

The scrips which gained the most during the session included: PAKT (4.71%), COLG (1.86%), MARI (1.56%), THALL (3.44%), and POML (4.55%). On the other hand, the stocks that emerged as net losers during the day included INDU (0.72%), LUCK (1.28%), HBL (7.50%), IBFL (2.72%), and ICI (0.64%).
